Youth Empowerment & Leadership
Equipping young people with the skills, confidence, and opportunities to take on leadership roles and make positive changes in their communities.
Why is it important?
Nurturing a Future of Empowerment and Prosperity
Youth represent the cornerstone of any society's future. Investing in their growth and development ensures the emergence of a more capable and promising generation to lead the way forward. By providing financial backing to youth organisations, we are making a long-term investment in the well-being and progress of our communities.
Examining the current state of Muslim youth reveals the challenges they encounter. Issues such as unemployment, mental health problems, and educational barriers can impede their potential contributions to society. Supporting youth organisations will help to confront these issues head-on, cultivating a more supportive environment where young individuals can thrive.
In the broader context, supporting youth organisations becomes imperative for the advancement of the ummah, the global Muslim community. Youth are the torchbearers of cultural, social, and intellectual advancements. National Waqf aims to support the youth in order to enable them to assume leadership roles and actively contribute to the positive development of their communities, thereby ensuring the continued progress of the ummah.
These reasons collectively underscore the importance of financial support for youth organisations in ensuring the holistic development of the next generation.
Forever Rewarding, Forever Increasing
We are a unique organisation that supports members of our community to overcome addiction. These addictions can include; Drugs, Alcohol Pornography and Gambling. With support from the National Waqf Fund we hope we can continue our work.
We have engaged with nearly 100 clients and many lives have changed. Many brothers and sisters have stopped taking drugs or stopped drinking, they have made taubah (repentance) and have enrolled on our weekly Quran lesson classes, where they can either learn to read Quran or re memorise the Quran for those who were hafiz and have forgot their Quran due to falling into a life of addiction. Many marriages have been saved and many children have been re united with their estranged parents. We hope NWF can support us to continue the work.
