Civic and Legal empowerment is essential for the Muslim community to actively participate within society and ensure that their rights are safeguarded.

These rights include being treated equally and fairly whilst maintaining an Islamic identity, ensuring that Muslims do not face discrimination on account of their faith, and that there is proportionate representation of Muslims at parliamentary and local levels.

How grants are being used

We seek to address structural inequalities facing Muslim communities in the UK. There is no other organisation working in this space, which has access to community stakeholders, academics, and policymakers. Also, we are currently working in many policy areas that will significantly impact Muslim communities in the coming months and years. However, we do not currently have the staff or resources to efficiently cover all of these areas to the extent that they require.
